The Catalina 27 sloop is fixed keel, pedestal mounted wheel, inboard diesel engine, large salon & roomy cockpit. Sailing out of Safe Harbor Haverstraw Marina on the Hudson River, the spectacular coastline views and steady winds makes sailing on the Zephyr FUN!

I have a love of all things maritime. I grew up on the New Jersey coast sailing and boating on the Toms River, Barnegat Bay, Great Bay and Atlantic Ocean. I have also spent a great deal of time in Florida boating on the Gulf coast from St. Pete Beach to Sanibel Island. I currently operate a charter service in Atlantic City and split my time between Brigantine and my home along the Delaware River in New Jersey. I prefer to take a laid back and pragmatic approach to instructing. It's very important to me to know what you are looking to achieve during your time with me so I can fine tune your learning experience. I take pride in being able to present ideas in a non-complicated format so students can easily grasp and apply concepts and gain a sense of accomplishment early in the learning process. I hope to foster a lifelong love of seamanship.

I own and teach on an updated but classic Sabre 34 sailboat, based in Liberty Landing Marina, Jersey City, NJ. My availability is generally on weekends and weeknights.
