Captain J's father was a lobster fisherman. Even while fulfilling his mother's ambitions, that he become an architect, Captain J always kept a toe in the water. As the years passed Captain J's foot kept getting wetter. After finding a like-minded First Mate, Captain J sold the house, and moved to a sailboat, where the couple raised two children while island hopping the Caribbean.
At the children's request "we want to be normal", we returned to civilization (a misnomer).

As someone who has been fortunate to spend my entire adult life focused on pleasure and charterboat operations and maintenance, I bring a serious down to earth view of sailing.
