Christopher Cooper

Private Instructor - New London, CT, USA
I was born on the crest of a wave and rocked in the cradle of the deep. Me mother was a mermaid, me father was King Neptune. Together, we can achieve your sailing goals, whether those goals are to sail a lake, a sound, a coast, or voyages to new lands. All adventures come with risks. My goal is to teach you to get the most of your adventure while minimizing the risk. Sailing is about balance: the boat interacts with the wind and the waves and we must adjust the sails to maintain a safe balance. You will learn this. You will also learn when staying in port is the best option. I have sailed in 1-knot winds & 60-knot winds; on 14-foot Sunfish and large monohulls & catamarans; in the Chesapeake, The Bahamas, the Caribbean, the Adriatic, & the CT coast. I have sailed on day sails and 39-day ocean crossing. Join me as we pursue your sailing dream.
