I started teaching sailing sixty years ago! However, my professorial career was interrupted by a 50 year career in dentistry! My early years I sailed and raced dinghys, but I have been sailing offshore boas for the last 40 years here in Hawaii. I have done the Pacific Cup, numerous inter-island cruises and races, as well as trips to Tahiti, Tuamotus, Marquesas, and Palmyra. For the last 37 years I have been sailing my Nordic 40 on beautiful Kaneohe Bay on the Island of Oahu, surely one of the most wonderful sailing venues in the World.
