Captain Tom brings a lifetime of maritime experience to the San Diego coast. Originally from North Carolina, Tom began sailing at age seven and has since logged tens of thousands of miles on a diverse range of monohulls and multihulls. A formidable competitive beach cat racer, Tom is a veteran of the Worrell 1000, two U.S. Sailing Alter Cups, and a Nacra F18 World Championships. On monohulls he's competed in hundreds of local, regional and international regattas. His racing resume spans decades, featuring standout performances on yachts like the Swan 56, RP50, J/145 and Corel 45 to mention just a few. Tom has accumulated tens of thousands of offshore delivery miles between the East Coast, Bermuda, BVI's and SoCal / Mexico. Now based in San Diego, he serves as a licensed Captain, instructor, and sales agent for ACY Yachts, reresenting Fountaine Pajot and Dufour. An educator at heart, Tom is dedicated to sharing his deep technical knowledge and lifelong passion for sailing.

Notes: I’m available to coach on your boat or a rental / charter boat. I have access to a variety of monohull and catamaran sailboats and powerboats. There is a separate boat rental fee. Contact me and we’ll discuss logistics and details. ALSO… I’m a yacht sales agent selling new Jeanneau sailboats and used boats of all types. I can assist with the entire process of finding, buying and learning to safely sail your boat…. and if you want to learn to race your sailboat I’m your man!! ONE MORE NOTE…. I’m also a PSIA Level 2 cert snow skiing instructor and I specialize in teaching intermediate, advanced and expert skiers how to be more efficient, ski powder and bumps, etc. I’m available to travel for coaching sailing and skiing.
