I grew in Alaska fishing, hunting, hiking, and yes a lot of boating. As an adult, a friend of mine took me out on a multi-day sailing adventure and I was HOOKED! Since then I've had three different boats trading up each time. Currently I own a Beneteau First 35s5. My boat is in Seward, Alaska and once the snow goes away, I am there every chance I get. I love sailing and teaching people how to sail. If you haven't had a chance to sail on Beneteau's line of First racer/cruiser boats, you are missing out. Somehow Beneteau has made an excellent boat where it is just a comfortable to go out racing in 20knots of wind as it is to spend a week cruising the beautiful south central Alaska.
