In 2022, I changed my circumstances to turn my passion for sailing into a career. I left the desk job, ran away to sea and never looked back! I am a NauticEd instructor, a US Sailing instructor and an RYA Yachtmaster Instructor (Sail), as well as a shore-based theory instructor, and I love sharing my passion for sailing on boats large and small. Coaching and mentoring female sailors and skippers is particularly important to me, as well as making a vacation, life or career on the water accessible to everyone. When I'm not teaching sailing, I can be found offshore racing or on long ocean passages perfecting my celestial navigation. I didn't grow up on boats and so learning to sail as an adult gives me a unique insight in how best to introduce others to this wonderful world. Seeing that 'aha!' moment makes me happier than anything. There are so many maritime careers, but teaching sailing is definitely my favourite!
