Level V Captain Rank Chief Sailing Instructor / Assessor

I grew up in San Diego, where I began sailing monohulls in the late 1980s. After taking a break from the water, I rediscovered my passion for sailing in 2022, completing a passage from Puerto Rico to Florida, then spending 2023 sailing on Lake Michigan. In 2024, my wife and co-captain, Amy, and I made the bold decision to sell everything, purchase a Leopard 48 catamaran, and embrace life on the sea. We've been living aboard with our two dogs, exploring new horizons, and immersing ourselves in the liveaboard lifestyle, racking up over 11,000nm, ever since. With over 13 years of experience teaching adults at the college level, transitioning to instructing others in sailing felt like a natural fit. My goal is to empower individuals to sail confidently and safely while enjoying all that the live-aboard lifestyle has to offer. I look forward to supporting you in turning your sailing dreams into reality!
