I learned how to sail with Capt. Chris German when he was running Oriental School of Sailing. I learned then that he is both a knowledgeable sailor and patient instructor. I have continued sailing and learning with him at Crystal Coast Marine Consulting. The location in Beaufort, NC is great, being able to continue my sailing education when the destination is uninhabited islands with wild horses is more along the lines of what I was looking for when learning to sail. Capt. German was even able to help me inspect and buy my first sailboat to make sure I made an educated purchasing decision! Can't wait to go sailing with them again!

Chris German is an excellent instructor. He has a staggering depth of knowledge that allows him to instruct you as far as you are willing to learn. His personality allows him to connect with everyone and he inspires confidence in you whenever yours is waning. My only sailing experience was with a small Sunfish, and he had me confidently single handed sailing a keelboat in no time at all. Best instructor out there.
