Level V Bareboat Charter Master Rank Qualified Sailing Instructor / Assessor

Passionate sailor, taught sailing to adults and kids for 20+ years. USCG 100-ton Master. Lots of knowledge and experience and still/always learning, sometimes even from my students. US Navy retired Lieutenant Commander. Served as Officer of The Deck/ Conning Officer (OOD) and Engineering Officer of the Watch (EOOW) aboard Los Angeles class nuclear powered submarines. As OOD, responsible for the safe operation and navigation of the ship underway, surfaced and submerged. As EOOW, responsible for nuclear reactor and engine room operations. Skippered numerous sailboat charters in US, Caribbean and Mediterranean waters on vessels ranging from 34-51 ft. Crewed for sailboat deliveries between Bermuda and US east coast.
