I didn’t grow up sailing. In fact, I was 55 when I first stepped on a boat. My son-in-law had taken a sailing class and invited my wife and me to sail with him. It was an uncomfortable experience, so I decided to take a class myself. That’s when the magic happened—I fell in love with sailing. I kept learning and gained knowledge and confidence. I started cruising, racing, joining regattas, and taking friends out on different boats. Sailing became more than a hobby—it became a passion. At some point, I realized I wanted to share my experience with others. So, I became a certified instructor. I love continuing to grow and help others discover the beauty of sailing.
