Notes: Ilhabela, located about 200km from São Paulo, is renowned as the "Brazilian Sailing Capital" due to its consistent winds, mountainous geography that creates ideal sailing corridors, and year-round sailing possibilities. The island features over 40 beaches, dramatic rainforests, and numerous spots for snorkeling, diving, and exploring by boat. Paraty is located on Brazil’s Costa Verde (Green Coast) in the southern part of Rio de Janeiro state, roughly halfway between the cities of Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo (about 155 miles from each). It sits on the Bay of Ilha Grande, a natural harbor sheltered by tropical mountains and the Atlantic Forest. It is a premier sailing destination known as the "Brazilian Venice". The bay offers over 65 islands and 50 beaches, many only accessible by boat.
