Meet René, a sailing instructor and coach with over 30 years of experience in the sport. René discovered his passion for sailing as a teenager and hasn't looked back since. He is a certified NauticEd instructor and an Australian Sailing instructor and coach. Rene's unique coaching philosophy focuses on building strong relationships with his students while encouraging them to reach their full potential. He believes that learning the technical aspects of sailing is important, but so is cultivating a love and respect for the water. In addition to coaching, Rene is an avid sailor himself and has competed in numerous regattas and races worldwide. He brings his personal experience and knowledge to each coaching session, ensuring that his students receive the highest level of instruction possible.

Mandurah Yacht Academy is located near the Breakwater Parade boat ramp in Mandurah. Most of our training is done on a 32-foot Whiting racing yacht suitable for beginners and advanced students. If you want to train on your own yacht, that can also be arranged. With a wide variety of courses available, you are only a phone call away from starting your sailing adventure.
Notes: I can also deliver your boat from anywhere in Australia to anywhere in the world or vice versa. With a qualified crew and skipper and fully insured, you know you and your boat are in good hands.
