Professional Summary I earned my OUPV Captains license in 2015, upgrading to Masters in 2020 with Sailing Endorsement. I am an active member of Bergen SEAS, a sailing club. I teach their keelboat course that covers sailing skills on a 27’ Catalina on the Hudson River, Haverstraw Bay. I was the Keelboat Chairperson for the Catalina for 6 years. I was active in the Sea Explorers program as a youth, and as an adult I was as a ‘First Mate’ officer. It was a pleasure to sail with John. He takes time to explain everything and is very patient. He is good at reading the ability of a student and gives the student the opportunity to make decisions and experiment with different ways of doing things. I would be pleased to sail with John again.
