Bareboat Charter Master Liveaboard: Maine Coast
4 Days | Up to 4 Students | NauticEd Bareboat Charter Master Assessment
Step aboard for one of the most beautiful and challenging sailing grounds on the East Coast. Over 4 days liveaboard, you will cruise from South Portland through the island-studded waters of Casco Bay and up the rugged Maine coast — earning your NauticEd Bareboat Charter Master certification through real seamanship in real conditions.
This is not a classroom course. From the moment you cast off, you are crew. You will navigate, trim, anchor, and stand watches in one of the most demanding and rewarding coastal sailing environments in North America.
Route & Schedule:
Day 1 (South Portland): Systems orientation, passage planning, and departure briefing.
Days 2–4 (Underway): Daily passages along the Maine coast. Anchoring in protected coves, island hopping, night watches, and full crew rotation. Training woven into every leg — navigation, weather routing, sail handling, anchoring, and coastal seamanship.
Day 4 (Return): Final passage back to South Portland. Debrief, logbook sign-off, and NauticEd Bareboat Charter Master assessment completion.
