Module 3 Controlling the Set of the Sail
On the headsail there are usually three ways to control how the sail flies with the wind.
- The headsail sheets
- The fairlead
- The halyard
On the mainsail there are usually four ways to control how the sail flies with the wind.
- The mainsail sheet
- The traveler
- The halyard
- The outhaul
In this NauticEd Sailing School Basic Sail Trim Sailing Course we'll deal with only the headsail and the fairlead and sheet controls.
