Simple, convenient, interactive and most useful!
Very thorough. Some overlapping information from other course, but reinforces knowledge. I moved onto our sailing catamaran 2 months ago, so a lot of this I knew/already was using in practice. However, I learned a lot about propellers, lines (ie nylon vs polyester), the windlass, types of anchors, more about electronics, every section I got something out of! I really enjoyed the safety sections and emergency sections, I was able to use these sections to better prepare my ditch bag, to make an "emergency VHF call" sheet for our vessel, and I contacted a local doctor to help me make a more thorough first aid kit/medical kit for our catamaran. Highly recommend this course!
I had a hard time with the wonkie catamaran maneuvers!
The course covers manoeuvring under power in most small vessels up to multi-million dollar catamarans, in a large variety of situations, including Mediterranean type moorings. For a new boat owner learning to operate his/her vessel safely, it would be invaluable. If I had done this course before I bought my yacht, there would be less blue paint on my neighbour's boat and I'd have more money.
