Are there recommendations as to how much chain one should have in a chain-rope combination (e.g. length of the vessel? (that is an old standard?)

The more chain the better but there are practical limitations such as weight. Usually if a chain rope road combo is used then use at least the length of the boat for chain.

I went for double the length of my boat! But having read this course, i should have just done 15 m. Anyway, I have over kill and when I've used my anchor I have not needed to put out rope with it.
