My personal comment and commitment to you

I have been a licensed 100 ton master/captain for over 20 years. My sailing career has included 30+ ocean crossings, over 85 thousand miles as vessel master and/or owner in both sail and power boats. I have sailed as the Master on vessels ranging from 8' prams to 151' to square rigged ships. I have raced across the pacific ocean and cruised the south pacific. My sailing experience spans a lot of the globe from Florida to Australia. In addition I was a boat-builder for over 20 years, and have lived on the water for more than 30 years.

I highly recommend Andy Kurtz - he was amazing! He is incredibly knowledgeable with an amazing resume. He was very thorough in the evaluation but very friendly at the same time. There were several instances where he went above and beyond the assessment and showed me a different way or approach to what we were discussing. I feel like I was not only thoroughly assessed on my SLC competence but I also learned from him several things that will make me a better and safer sailor.
