Teaching sailing to adults since 1985. My objective is to help you achieve your sailing goals. I have sailed many thousands of miles offshore and alongshore in a wide variety of yachts. Some trips were races, others cruises or deliveries. I live on Cape Cod now where I have built a small sailing and rowing boat for bay sailing. I have an older ocean racing sloop for distance cruises and races. The most challenging and fun work is with students transferring my knowledge and love of sailing.

Practical Competence of Skipper Rank
Norman was competent and friendly, evaluating performance fairly according to local conditions and where appropriate discussing alternative options. For instance in man overboard situations and engine failures. In the end I feel it was a fair evaluation that covered the required points, conducted without feeling the stress of being in an examination format. I would definitely recommend Norman and the school to anyone interested in gaining sailing experience.

Norman is a relaxed and friendly instructor and I never felt any stress throughout the process. The boat is very charter friendly and the rather windy conditions were a good challenge. I am ready for my Greek charter.
