Level V Captain Rank Intern Sailing Instructor / Assessor

Captain Don has dedicated the past 20 years sailing distant harbors and promoting safe maritime practices to both recreational boaters and professional mariners. Don works as a professional technology trainer and part time teaching at a local Technical College. He enjoys sharing his educational experience with the boating community by providing sailing instruction, on-the-water coaching and speaking at area yacht club functions. During the past 12 years Don has been involved with sailboat racing and placed in several overnight regattas crossing Lake Michigan. Also, he has volunteered and promoted outreach activities at various boating organizations from the Mid-West to the East Coast. Don has actively maintained his USCG 100 ton Master Near Coastal captain license and is trained as a volunteer first responder including first aid, AED and CPR certifications.
