When giving your MMSI, would you say "em em es eye number" or "Mike Mike November India number…"

I would say "em em es eye number" as the context for the number that follows is clear. Spelling out with the NATO alphabet could be confusing. Also, if you initiate a distress or safety call with DSC, your MMSI will be automatically displayed on the receivers' VHF.
